Rep. Johnson now claims the island "tipping over" was a metaphor.
Listening to the entire spiel-- and his inability to calculate approximate square miles given the width and length-- I find that difficult to believe.
Making it less believable, he's not giving any interviews. If it were earnest, it would be easiest to laugh it off in an interview and move on.
The good news: he's convinced that the health care plan will be great for the country. But I'm surprised he wouldn't invoke the "tipping point" metaphor in that context.
